Its the spring again. I can't believe that its been an year since I last wrote a blog. Unknowingly, It has become an yearly tradition at this point. I promise I will try and fix that.
Did you know that there are yellow flowers of Palash? No, right ? me neither, until today. Today I forced myself to go out and see the spring flowers, Especially the Palash flowers, which I love so much. I saw a tree, with yellow flowers, looking suspiciously similar to Palash. I could not believe my eyes. Afterall, Palash flowers are supposed to be red, right? Apparently not, There is a very rare species of Palash that has yellow flowers and my village has a tree of it.
I could not help but think of this tree, its very beautiful, yet no-one seems to appreciate it. Its very special, yet no one seems to notice its existence and its very rare. Its rare to the point where its lonely.
Imagine being that tree, Ugly throughout the year, and when spring comes, you get flowers, you see all the trees from your kind, getting beautiful red flowers and what you are getting are some yellow flowers. You ought to feel bad, right? you would ask yourself, "why me?" "why did I get these weird yellow flowers even when the spring came, and everyone else has these red flowers?", Not knowing how special you are and there is someone who dearly loves you and appreciates you for who you are.
Anyways, I don't know where I am going with this, I never really liked this village, this region. It has given me nothing except sadness and worries and has taken everything good from me, Seeing the yellow Palash today reminded me that no matter what happens, no matter how bad something is, there is always something special about it. there is always a glimmer of hope. There is always a rare glimpse of hope just around the corner.
