Facts and Opinions

In mathematics and sciences we geneally devide statements into two categories. facts and opinions. and a general concencus is that Facts are the statements which are always true, can be mathematically proven and are accepted as true, universally.  One example of a fact is 1+1=2. Everyone agrees on this fact that adding one with another one will be two. This is such a simple example and a universal truth that people use it in sayings and converstations as example. What If I told you that this is still not a “Fact” ? In fact (no pun intended), In a book named “Principia Mathematic” two mathematicians proved that 1+1=2 and it took them 3 years, 350 Pages and it is one of the most complicated proofs out there. Still to prove this, they used a few “assumptions” which are considered universally accaptable facts, like if two values are 1 and 1, they are equal to each other, which are called “Axioms”. these are essentially opinions which are accepted by everyone.  Long story Short, Th...

Teachers are like candles because they are a ray of hope in the darkness of ignorance and uneducation. Teachers are like candles because they are the the source of energy needed to build a successful society.  Just like we dont burn Candle only for the sake of burning it, teachers also dont work just for the sake of it. We need doctors, engineers, lawyers, accountants etc for the life to keep going. But none of them would exist without a teacher. Teachers are the people who are the first source of a revolutionary idea. They are the most Fundamental source of motivasyon. With or without students, teachers are always teachers. But without a teacher we all are nothing.

The Art of Synchronisation

One of the biggest and most complicated challenges in computer science as well as science in general is the challenge of synchronisation. Weather its to synchronise data or to synchronise two events. To some extent, synchronising data is simpler, but synchronising two events is impossible.  Two physical events happening in real life can never be synchronised. Its mathematically impossible. Why? Well its mathematically impossible for two values in the real world to be identical. For example let's take two stones which are exactly same weight, shape, size and material and drop them exactly from the same height. They will appear to be dropping at the same time but they are in fact not dropping at the same time.  To prove this...

The art

“Occupation is for our life, Our Life is not for occupation”. I recently read this Quote and it resonated with me beyond anything else. Another similar Quote that I heard is that people sometimes ask, “Why art?” and the answer is, “An engineer may build huge bridges, a doctor may save thousands of lives, an accountant may build huge books, But art is what enables them to do these. Art keeps them sane through the challenges and it gives them a reason to build the world. Without art why would they even bother to do anything?”.  There is a term in modern dictionary which is called, “enshittification”. It basically means that the way our world, very heavily affected by European and American capitalism is set up, that with time everything gets worse. The money becomes the biggest motivator for everything and things become worse automatically.  I am seeing a slow “enshittification” of art. People used to write poetry, not to impress the world, but to tell their friends and to tell t...

Losing ones sense of belonging

I had been traveling for more than a week now,  thousands of kilometers away from Home, sitting on a beach with cool breeze hitting my face and the loud ocean waves hitting the rocks, I was completely lost. I didn't know where I came from, where I was going to go or where my "Home" was. My mind completely blank and the only thing I knew at that point was the small hotel room that I had reserved. That was my home. I forced myself to remember where I came from, where I belonged and I saw my home, in a small village in Gaya. Being there, having travelled through so many places, it was hard to even believe that I belonged there. For some reason I just didn't feel like I belonged there. It felt like its been years since I left that place.  It was such a weird feeling. Something I had never experienced before. I have been struggling more and more with mixing in for last few years. I stand out like a sore thumb everywhere, and its hard to  even imagine somewhere I truly belo...

Do not go gentle into that good night

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night. Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. And you, my father, there on the sad height, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray. Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light. - Dylan Thomas

All language is but a poor translation

Recently I came across this Quote by Franz Kafka.  “All Language is but a poor translation”.  Or as I like to say it, “A language is nothing but a poor translation of feelings”. And the more I think about it, It makes more sense.  On first thought, this idea seems conflicting. We made the languages, and every culture in the world should have perfected this skill to be able to express themselves completely, right? Well, Not really.  I am fortunate enough to know more than one language and I can see this gap between languages where no one is really perfect to be able to express ourselves completely.  Even with my native language, Urdu. There have been times when I have felt a certain way towards someone or towards myself and did not know how I could have expressed that. And I am sure you must have felt this way too. There are some things that just can not be expressed in the most perfect way that we would like to express them. No matter which language we use...
